Using Zencity's API, you can stream your data from Zencity into another software or dashboard, letting you consolidate the systems you use and get the full picture in one place.

This is useful if your city, county or department has its own custom dashboard, or if you’re using a CRM software or BI platform and want to enhance your view with additional data from Zencity.

How to get started

Below, you’ll find a concise reference manual working with the Zencity API and extracting the data or widgets you want.

Every API call needs to include an access token under the Authorization header. Access tokens are generated using an API AI and Secret. Read more about authentication.

To receive your Zencity API ID and Secret please contact your Customer Success Manager.

Listen (formerly Organic) - for Social, News and Direct Channels data, see the Listen API docs.
Ask - for Zencity-Managed Surveys data (such as Blockwise as Community Survey), see the Managed Surveys API. For other types of surveys or collaborative activities, please contact your Customer Success Manager.
